Weber hints at Toyota move for Michael

As testing for the 2006 season gets underway, Michael Schumacher's manager, Willi Weber, has hinted that the seven-time World Champion could make a shock move to Toyota next season, where he would partner his brother.

Talking to Bild, the German referred to the Japanese manufacturer's advertising slogan; 'Nothing is impossible'.

"We will look at how the season starts and it will not be until the summer that we make a decision," he said, echoing Schumacher's recent comments, when the German said that he will wait until mid-season before making a decision on his plans for 2007.

Previously, Weber managed both Schumachers and had said that he preferred not to have both drivers in the same team. However, Ralf's decision to end his relationship with his manager - who secured the drive with Toyota, making him one of the best paid drivers in F1 - changes the situation.

"That would not be any more a problem," he admitted. "In former times it was, but today it does not have to be."

Until recently, the idea of Schumacher ever racing for anyone else seemed highly unlikely, with the German, and his bosses at Ferrari, claiming that he would see out his career with the Maranello outfit and then take on another role with the company.

However, until recently, Schumacher had never publicly criticized the team - definitely a no-no at Maranello - leading to some to speculate that the German might indeed be having second thoughts about his role with the Italian outfit.
