Following Stewards' enquiries, it has been decided to disallow A1 Team Germany's time in Qualifying session one. After studying video footage, the Stewards found Nico Hülkenberg had caused an avoidable collision with A1 Team Ireland's Michael Devaney. Hülkenberg however retains third position on the Sprint race grid despite the penalty.

The Stewards also disallowed A1 Team South Africa's time from Qualifying session two after deciding driver Adrian Zaugg had blocked a fellow competitor on track. The decision drops South Africa from eighth on the grid to 11th.

A1 Team Indonesia received an identical penalty for blocking a fellow competitor in Qualifying session two and dropped one place from 18th to 19th on the grid.
