As Rubens Barrichello looks ahead to his move to BAR, and the possibility of winning the World Championship (his words), the old debate over Michael Schumacher's status at Ferrari has been raised yet again.

At a time when fans, and indeed Barrichello, remind us that the team has been built around the German and that it is he who dictates most decisions, it seems a little odd that suddenly we are hearing of all manner of drivers 'approving' of teammates.

Jenson Button, who is still trying to find a way out of the contract he signed with WilliamsF1, was apparently given a list of drivers to consider as a teammate at BAR - should he stay there - the Englishman giving his approval to 9-time winner, Barrichello.

That said, the 25-year-old, who has yet to win a Grand Prix, did, rather arrogantly in our humble opinion, point out: "He has a lot of experience, forget about the proven winner thing, but we still don't know what he can do in a Formula One car when he is given equal equipment, but he has proven on the circuit that he has very good race-craft."

Now we are told that Mark Webber not only "pushed very hard" to get Nick Heidfeld the second WilliamsF1 seat this season, but has also "pushed very hard " to get Button into the team for 2006.

And they all said that Michael Schumacher is the 'picky choosy' one with regards teammates.

Finally, didn't BAR's Nick Fry say, only recently, and as part of his 'Keep the Frome One' campaign that BAR-Honda was building the team around Button?

If so where does Rubens fit in?
