Bernie Ecclestone can add a new award to his cabinet.

ESPN Radio runs a regular 'McDonalds Just Shut Up' award - which is given out to "the most annoying and/or obnoxious person on the scene" - and voted for by listeners.

Taking 41% of the total vote, F1 supremo, Bernie Ecclestone was the clear winner for his comment - as reported on Pitpass yesterday - when asked about (IRL racer) Danica Patrick: "Women should be dressed in all-white," said the Englishman, "like all other domestic appliances."

Clearly a joke that was taken the wrong way, and very much at the wrong time.

To place things in perspective, Carl Everett finished fourth in the poll for his two comments: "It's proven the 99% of baseball fans have no idea of what they're watching" and "I don't believe in being gay".
