The organizers of the Formula One Parade, due to be held in central London on Tuesday 6 July, have released further information to aid fans travelling to the event.

Attendance is free, however the organizers are warning that due to restricted viewing opportunities, it may be advised to watch the event on television instead of travelling to Regent Street. It is likely that the event will feature alongside coverage of the following weekend's Silverstone Grand Prix.

Shops in the area will remain open.

As previously reported, BAR, WilliamsF1, Ferrari, Jaguar, Jordan, McLaren, Minardi and Toyota atre all scheduled to attend.

The only drivers confirmed, thus far, are: Jenson Button, Zsolt Baumgartner and Cristiano da Matta.

There are currently no plans to close any stations for the event, though people travelling into central London should expect an increased volume of people at Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross, Green Park and Leicester Square.

The nature of this event will necessitate the restriction of road traffic. Full details of road closures will be made available shortly.

The general public will not be able to access the pit area to see the cars at close quarters or meet drivers.

There will be no facilities to allow the general public to get close to the drivers and obtain autographs.
