Carlos Sainz has been handed a 20-place grid penalty for Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.
The team elected to change the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Turbocharger and MGU-H on the Spaniard's car ahead of this morning's opening session, thereby incurring a 20-place grid penalty.
According to the stewards, the team notified the Technical Delegate regarding the change of the power unit elements on the 3rd October, at 8:43.
Kimi Raikkonen has taken his fourth ICE, MGU-K, Control Electronics and Energy Store, but as these were part of his permitted allocation there is no penalty.
