McLaren boss Zak Brown insists Fernando Alonso is not eyeing Mercedes seat.
Since Toto Wolff revealed that two of the only drivers he hasn't been contacted by since Nico Rosberg's shock retirement on Friday are Kimi Raikkonen and Daniil Kvyat - neither of whom, according to the Austrian, has his number - Sebastian Vettel has written himself out of the equation saying his intention is to stay with Ferrari.
Now, one of the other big names linked with the Mercedes drive has been dismissed, as McLaren executive director Zak Brown insists the Spaniard is happy where he is.
"We have a contract with Fernando and he is very happy," he told Sky Sports. "Obviously he wants to be winning races, as do we, but I am not worried about that scenario. We are very comfortable where we are at."
Brown's claim is supported by Eric Boullier, who told Sky Sports News HQ: "They are rumours, and everyone loves them. But we have a contract in place.
"I don't think it would be a good move, in a year like this, against Lewis who feels very much at home in Brackley," added the Frenchman
And let's not forget the pairing of the Spaniard and the Briton didn't exactly work out first time around.
