With Haas yet to confirm its 2017 line-up, Esteban Gutierrez has revealed that he is leaving the team.
Though the team appears to have opted to retain Romain Grosjean, despite his constant criticism, nothing official has been announced.
Earlier this week informed sources claimed that Kevin Magnussen is to join the rookie American outfit, but again no news from the team.
At least we know however that Esteban Gutierrez is not part of the plan as the team moves forward, the Mexican announcing his departure on Twitter overnight.
"I want to share with you that I will no longer be with Haas F1 Team for the next season," he tweeted. "I want to thank all the team and staff, especially Gene Haas for this opportunity to work with them. I wish them all the best.
"There are two races left," continued the Mexican who has yet to open his 2016 points account, "which I intend to enjoy to the fullest and as always, I’ll give my best.
"Special thanks to all my fans and supporters, you will always have a place in my heart. I hope to shortly share my plans for the future."
The Mexican, who has close ties to Ferrari and was test and reserve driver with the team in 2015, has been linked with Manor.
