Kevin Magnussen has dismissed rumours linking him with a drive in IndyCar next season.
With the confirmation of Nico Hulkenberg on Friday, it became clear that at least one, if not both of the current Renault drivers face the chop at season end.
Over the weekend sections of the media claimed that Magnussen, who has already extended the deadline by which time he wants to know Renault's plans, was linked with a drive in IndyCar, one outlet claiming that Andretti Autosport looks his most likely destination.
However, this morning Magnussen took to social media to insist that he wants to stay in F1 with Renault.
"Seeing rumours around about me in IndyCar," he tweeted. "I'm a big fan of IndyCar but those are really just rumours. Nothing to it.
"I feel confident my future is in F1 and there should be no doubt I intend to stay with Renault for many years if I can," he added. "Unfortunately there is nothing yet to announce regarding my future, but hopefully there will be soon.
"I too am getting impatient!" he concluded, adding the hashtag #NeverGiveUpOnTheDream.
While both Magnussen and palmer are said to be under consideration, it is known that Valtteri Bottas and Esteban Ocon are both fancied by the Enstone-based outfit.
