Teams agree that ultrasoft tyres are the way to go at the Red Bull Ring
While supersoft and soft was the choice for the 2015 event, the availability of the new purple-banded ultrasoft tyres this year mean running them at the Red Bull Ring is a no-brainer for most teams.
Ferrari and Renault have gone for 9 sets of the ultras for what, in 2015, was a two-stop race, whilst Mercedes and Manor opt for 8.
Williams, Red Bull, Force India, Toro Rosso, Sauber and McLaren have all taken 7 sets of ultrasoft, whilst Haas has taken just 6.
In terms of the supersofts and soft, the Mercedes duo have taken a different approach, Hamilton taking 3 supersoft and 3 softs to Rosberg's 4 supersoft and 1 soft. A slightly similar approach is taken by the Williams duo.
Force India, which usually takes the most daring approach, sees both drivers taking 3 supersofts and 3 soft.
The soft and supersoft are the mandatory race tyres.
