Imola will reverberate to the sound of F1 again next month courtesy of Minardi.

June 25 sees a day "dedicated to motors and to sport" which will retrace the 35-year history of the Minardi team and the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit.

Taking to the track will be various single-seaters with which Minardi raced, from its debut in 1985 at the Brazilian Grand Prix with Pierluigi Martini right up to the Chinese Grand Prix in 2005 with Patrick Friesacher, Robert Doornbos and Christijan Albers.

The day will recall the seasons with Alessandro Nannini, Michele Alboreto, Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli, Alessandro Zanardi, Mark Webber, Luca Badoer, and Gianni Morbidelli.

Along with the F1 cars, propelled by aspirated turbo V12 and V10 engines producing more than 800 bhp, the cars from Formula 2 and Formula 3, two categories in which Gian Carlo Minardi succeeded early in his motorsport career, will also be on track. Moreover, there will be moments dedicated to the fans of Sport and Road GT.

On display will be the single-seaters of Minardi and Toro Rosso including the STR03 with which Sebastian Vettel won his first Grand Prix in Monza in 2008, along with some unique and historical pieces of Formula 1, in addition to talks with the drivers who contributed to the pages of the Minardi story.

"This day is dedicated to all the enthusiasts and fans of the Minardi Team who still today continue to demonstrate their fondness to me," said Gian Carlo Minardi. "During the Targa Florio, I saw with my own eyes their warmth and they moved me. Honestly, I did not expect it.

"The Historic Minardi Day will be the occasion for living again 340 F1 Grands Prix and 35 years of the Minardi Team, along with the drivers who contributed in writing our history. A sport day to live all together. The more the merrier."

An official portal has been inaugurated for the event at MinardiDay.it, where you can find the complete program and details about this historic day at Imola.

If the names Minardi and Imola don't grab your attention, what about those V10s and V12s.
