After all those online teasers, the title holders headed to the Northamptonshire track for a ''Promotional Event', essentially a chance to run the car, albeit on non- race tyres, for under 100km ahead of the big day on Monday.
The F1 W07 Hybrid, powered by the PU106C Hybrid Power Unit, departed the garage at 10:15 on a cold but clear day, driven first by Nico Rosberg, then Lewis Hamilton.
The car completed a total of 98.2 km.
"Everything has gone very well," Paddy Lowe told Sky Sports. "We haven't even taken the engine cover off yet in the whole morning session which is a really good sign of the reliability that we've achieved at this point."
"It was a good feeling, I felt at home straight away," added Rosberg. "I could push as if I raced Abu Dhabi yesterday so a good beginning."
The team will now ready the W07 for its public track debut at the opening pre-season test of 2016 in Barcelona on Monday.
