Raffaele Marciello will drive the Sauber in FP1 at Austin next weekend.
The Swiss outfit's test and reserve driver, who is currently eighth in the GP2 standings, will drive Felipe Nasr's car in the opening practice session.
The Italian youngster, who made his F1 test debut with Ferrari in Abu Dhabi in last year's post-season test, drove the Sauber in the opening practice sessions ahead of the Malaysia, Spanish and British events this season.
The United States race marks an outstanding milestone for the Swiss team as it will be its 400th Grand Prix, having made its debut in South Africa in 1993.
