A British man has been charged following his 'walkabout' during Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix.
"There's a man on the track, there's a man on the track," Sebastian Vettel told his crew as he led the race, officials subsequently deploying the Safety Car for the second time.
British national Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia, 27, has been charged with committing a "rash act", which, if found guilty, could cost him a fine or six months in prison.
Though bail was offered, Dhokia said he had spent all him money travelling to Singapore for the race and could not afford the surety.
His case is expected to be heard on 6 October, which, if successful will give him time to travel to Sochi, where such behaviour might be treated slightly differently.
It is understood Dhokia found a gap in the fence in front of the grandstands and climbed through. He subsequently crossed the track and then walked along it. Reports that he overtook a McLaren are said to be wide of the mark... though not that wide of the mark.
