Whilst Nico Hulkenberg agreed a new two-year deal with the Silverstone based outfit earlier this week, Force India has yet to officially confirm its 2016 line-up.
Though Sergio Perez has a contract for next year, we are all aware how little such documents are worth these days.
However, speaking to reporters at Monza, as Williams announced it is retaining Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, thereby removing two valuable seats from the 2016 driver market, the Mexican insisted he will be staying put.
"I think the news is coming quite soon," he said. "I have a contract with the team and as you know I have sponsors and we are trying to make an announcement all together, so it's all clear.
"My priority is to stay here," he added. "A long-term deal is something we are definitely discussing as well.
"The team is going upwards, really pushing and I know the plans of the team. I would be really happy to stay here."
