Kevin Magnussen is on duty for McLaren at Silverstone today as the team uses one of the two days allowed for promotional purposes.
With mileage limited to 100km and only tyres manufactured specifically for the purpose allowed, the Dane will not be completing any flying laps as the teams films for promotional purposes.
Over the course of the day the youngster will also complete a number of laps wearing the helmets of regular drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button.
In an attempt to cut costs, there are just two in-season tests this season - one following the Spanish Grand Prix and the second two days after the Austrian event at the Red Bull Ring - down on the three tests in 2014. At this year's in-season tests all teams must allocate two days to running 'young drivers'.
In addition, each team is allowed to carry out two promotional events for marketing or promotional purposes, e.g. filming.
