Despite his team's continued impressive performance in testing, Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene insists he is not getting carried away.
With Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel having posted the two quickest times at Jerez, and finished fourth overall in terms of mileage, the Italian team has maintained its impressive pace and reliability at Barcelona.
However, team boss Arrivabene - the team's third in the last year - has his feet planted firmly on the ground and his pre-launch target of two wins remains the same.
"I am not so crazy as to change the objectives now," he told reporters at the Spanish track. "Winning two races will be fine. Three will be perfect. Four and I run one hundred kilometres without shoes to the Maranello hills...
"I don't believe in winter champions," he added, referring to years gone by when a team would show strong form in pre-season testing (the winter championship) only to fall away once the season proper began and all teams were running to the same spec in terms of fuel loads and tyres.
"We have made some progress compared to last year and this is quite clear," he continued, "but I am not going to tell you we are going to fight for the championship. Beating our competitors, especially Mercedes, is something out of our minds.
"I have my feet on the ground," he insisted. "The spirit is together and that is good. We have two fantastic drivers and we go all in the same direction. That is important for me."
