Mercedes Motorsport boss Toto Wolff has been dubbed the 'Totonator' after injuring his wrist in a cycling accident.
The Mercedes team took to Twitter today to announce that "a bit of a carambolage during yesterday's bike ride resulted in a fractured shoulder, collar bone, elbow and wrist…”
The German team accompanied the tweet with a picture of a metal plate and pins that have been used to aid the Austrian's recovery, thereby earning him the nickname ‘The Totonator’ in honour of countryman Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"Half man, half machine: it's not just Arnie any more!" they proclaimed.
"We've decided to leave it to the pros now," they subsequently quoted Wolff as saying. "Lewis & Nico are better wheel to wheel at 300 km/h than we are at 30 km/h"
Susie Wolff also took to Twitter, posting a picture of her husband with his arm in a sling.
"My husband the hero!" she wrote "As we know, boys will be boys... Looks like I am on nurse duty for the next few weeks!"
Note to Sergio Perez, she didn't mention cooking, just nursing.
