Mattiacci gets Ferrari "revamp" underway

Ferrari team boss Marco Mattiacci has met with all the staff at Maranello to outline his plans for the outfit's complete overhaul.

Almost two months to the day since replacing Stefano Domenicali, Mattiacci, accompanied by company president Luca di Montezemolo, told the assembled staff of the changes that will be needed to make the team more efficient and united, stressing that it is the Scuderia's aim to "get back on top".

Apparently, Mattiacci "pulled no punches" in his efforts to motivate the team which is currently third in the championship and under pressure from Force India, McLaren and Williams.

However, the Italian isn't merely looking to revive the team's 2014 efforts but is seeking to lay the foundations for the years ahead, building a team of people that can put the legendary marque... "back on a winning cycle, making a complete break with the past, innovating courageously and emphasizing the worth of the mechanics, engineers and engine specialists".

From where we're sitting, especially with his president seeking to carry out a similar job in terms of the direction the sport is taking,

Marco has his work cut out.
