NEWS STORY
Daniel Ricciardo has received his first reprimand of 2014 following an incident during this morning's session.
Unseen by the TV cameras at the time, the Red Bull driver was summoned by the Stewards shortly after the end of the session for overtaking Pastor Maldonado in the pitlane.
Clearly frustrated by the Lotus driver's pace as he returned to his garage, the Australian undercut the Lotus, a move which could have had unfortunate consequences seeing as the Venezuelan's garage is before that of the Red Bull team and therefore had he turned in the two would have collided.
The Stewards, having received a report from Charlie Whiting and heard from Ricciardo, a team representative and examined video evidence, ruled that the Australian had "driven in a manner that was potentially dangerous to others in the Pit Lane", Breach of Article 30.13 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.
He was subsequently handed a reprimand, his first of the season.
