Even at the height of Ferrari's 'golden era' in the 2000s, Jean Todt could be seen on the pit wall nervously nibbling his nails.
Then there was Ross Brawn, anxiously taking bites out of his banana.
And who can forget the trembling foot of Christian Horner on the Red Bull prat perch, or indeed, the deeply furrowed brow of Adrian Newey.
However, their anxiety was nothing compared to that of Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe during the Bahrain Grand Prix. Whilst the rest of us thrilled to every twist and turn in the cat and mouse battle between Lewis and Nico, the Brackley pair perched on the pit wall with almost every muscle tensed to breaking point.
