Amalgam has launched its much anticipated 1:8 scale model of the car with which Sebastian Vettel won the 2013 Indian Grand Prix and thereby his fourth world championship title.
With no double points to aid the opposition or maintain viewer interest, Vettel's win at the Buddh International Circuit in late October took the German to his six the successive win of a run that began in Belgium and was to last right to the end of the season in Abu Dhabi.
Furthermore, not only was the win, which also assured Red Bull of its fourth constructors' title, his third victory at the Buddh International circuit, he is the only F1 driver to have won there since the event joined the calendar in 2011... perhaps explaining the lack of local interest that has culminated in the race being dropped in 2014.
This superbly-detailed 1:8 scale model of the RB9, shows the car exactly as it was raced in the Indian GP on the 27th October last year.
The model, which is limited to a run of just 99, and the man Vettel is sure to want one of them for himself, is supplied mounted on a carbon-fibre base with an edition plaque.
It is a work of art, an excellent addition to any collection.
