Mercedes 2014 contender, the F1 W05, took to the track at Silverstone today ahead of its test debut at Jerez next week.
The car, powered by the PU106A Hybrid Power Unit, opened a new era of F1 at 14:21 this afternoon when it left the garage for the first time in cold but dry conditions.
Driven by Nico Rosberg, the car, which was being used for filming, completed around 40 km.
The team will now ready the F1 W05 for its public track debut in Jerez when the car will be driven by Lewis Hamilton on Tuesday and Thursday, and Rosberg on Wednesday and Friday.
"Such a great feeling," tweeted the German following today's run. "Just drove my new silver arrow for the first time. It looks quick, but I don't know if it is quick yet!"
