McLaren has announced that it will launch its 2014 contender, the MP4-29, online, the week before the opening pre-season test.
The day after Lotus revealed that it will miss the Jerez test, opting to unveil its 2014 car three weeks later in Bahrain, McLaren has announced that its car will be unveiled exclusively online on January 24th.
In the wake of its most disappointing season in years, much is expected of the MP4-29, which will be driven by Jenson Button and rookie Kevin Magnussen.
Other than the car, there is much speculation surrounding who will replace title sponsor Vodafone whose partnership with the Woking outfit ended last year.
Whilst there has been talk of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) increasing its presence, there is also speculation that the team might continue without a title sponsor until 2015 when it joins forces with Honda once again.
Mercedes will take the wraps off the W05 at Jerez on January 28, the first day of the test which precedes a season with the biggest raft of technical changes in living memory.
