NEWS STORY
The journey starts in California with Saison 73, publisher of theme-based classic F1 calendars.
In 2005 they introduced their first edition "Maiden Wins", featuring Porsche's one-hit wonder at Rouen with 'California Cool' Dan Gurney gracing the cover.
Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Bruce McLaren and Mario Andretti were among the other legendary drivers celebrated in this issue.
The "Lost Tracks" edition highlighted circuits of the past; Brands Hatch, "The Green Hell", Watkins Glen and Zandvoort.
"Powered by Turbo" was a tribute to the era which started with a teapot party at Silverstone in 1977. Poor Jean-Pierre Jabouille is not even remembered for his historic win at Dijon-Prenois in 1979. For once, people do remember who finished second - and third!
"Rule Britannia" pays homage to Grand Prix greats from Great Britain. Hawthorn to Hamilton, Brooks to Button.
Jim Clark and his British racing green Lotus grace the cover. Also remembered are Peter Collins, Damon Hill and his Daddy, "Our Nige" and the man in a rush, both on and off the track, James Hunt.
