McLaren has all but confirmed its 2014 driver line-up after Jenson Button and Sergio Perez let slip that they both have contracts for the coming season.
Speaking with the media in Singapore on Thursday, Button, the 2009 world champion, confirmed that he has inked a new deal, though he refused to be drawn on any specifics.
"It's done," he responded when asked how negotiations were progressing. "I'll be here next year."
The Briton's contract was due to expire at the end of this season, though it remains unclear whether his new deal is anything more than a one-year extension.
Teammate Sergio Perez was similarly revealing during the FIA press conference. "It's pretty much done, I think," he responded when asked about his future.
"We've been having some discussions about the contract. The contract is done but we are just finalising the final dots. Obviously I cannot give much detail about them but everything is pretty much done."
Although both Perez and Button have effectively confirmed they are remaining with McLaren no official announcement has been made by the team itself.
