Ferrari technical director Pat Fry was rushed to hospital for an appendectomy ahead of today's qualifying session.
The Englishman was taken to hospital in Barcelona after first being seen by his team's own doctor at the Circuit de Catalunya having complained of a pain in his abdomen.
"I want to wish him the best of luck to Pat Fry," said team boss Stefano Domenicali who was joined on the pit wall by company president Luca di Montezemolo. "We wish him all the best for a rapid recovery," he added.
It is not yet clear whether Fry will be fit again in time for the Monaco GP weekend in two weeks times.
Needless to say, we wish him a speedy recovery.
