Lewis Hamilton will incur a five place grid penalty for the Bahrain Grand Prix after his team opted to change the gearbox on his car.
The Mercedes driver is thought to have suffered a tyre failure in the final moments of today's practice session which subsequently damaged his left-rear suspension.
However, as the team worked on the car ahead of qualifying it opted to change his gearbox, thus incurring the grid penalty.
Along with Hamilton, Mark Webber (3) and Esteban Gutierrez (5) also have grid penalties for tomorrow's race, both the result of incidents in China.
