If not for a moment in the final phase of qualifying Nico Hulkenberg believes his Saturday could have delivered more. The German qualified tenth, though a moment on his only hot lap in the session left him disappointed.
"A good performance obviously getting into Q3," he said. "I had one lap and that one lap didn't go to plan, obviously, and that is very frustrating and disappointing.
"I just ran a bit wide on exit of turn four on to the Astroturf, as we've seen with many cars this weekend. Unfortunately on the lap that counts the most I ran on to there," he added. "I got some dirt on the tyres and that took a lot of grip away and compromised the lap."
With running cut short by rain on Friday, Hulkenberg, like many others, head in to the unknown with today's race. "It will be a bit of a surprise going in to the race because we missed yesterday afternoon with long runs," he said.
"I haven't done a long run on the soft, only on the medium," he continued. "You just have to see how you go in your stint and relative to people around you."
