Sebastian Vettel has been handed a twenty second penalty after being found guilty of gaining an advantage from leaving the circuit in his efforts to pass Jenson Button in the closing stages of today's German Grand Prix.
With two laps remaining the Red Bull driver left the circuit when passing Jenson Button at Turn 6. The matter was immediately referred to the stewards, who handed Vettel a twenty second penalty.
It sees Vettel relegated to fifth in the standings, promoting Jenson Button back to second and Kimi Raikkonen on to the podium.
