The FIA has confirmed that there will be one DRS zone at Sepang for this weekend's Malaysia Grand Prix.
With two activation zones in Melbourne, the sport's governing body has declared that there will be one single zone, as in 2011.
The detection is shortly before Turn 15, the hairpin which leads on to the main straight, with the activation zone just after the corner.
Changes to the track for this year's event see the verge on the exit of turn 8 having been re-worked in order to remove the bump in the grass which caused a problem in 2011, while the entire debris fence around the outside of turn 1 has been renewed.
Surprisingly, two of the stewards from the season opener in Australia have been retained this weekend, Johnny Herbert and Paul Gutjahr being joined by Roger Peart, President of the FIA Circuits Commission and President of Autoritie Sportive Nationale du Canada.
