Adrian Sutil has been fined and handed an 18-month suspended sentence by a Munich court after being found guilty of causing bodily harm.
The German, who was found guilty of injuring the chief executive of Renault F1 team owner Genii Capital, Eric Lux, in a nightclub fracas following last year's Chinese Grand Prix, was handed the suspended sentence together with a 200,000 euro (£167,000) fine.
Sutil, who said he had merely intended to throw a drink in Lux's face, but actually ended up striking him with the glass, has yet to secure a seat this season having lost his Force India drive to countryman Nico Hulkenberg.
