McLaren's newly released pre-season test schedule reveals that 2011 world championship runner-up Jenson Button will be first to get his hands on the team's 2012 contender, the MP4-27.
The Englishman will drive the new car on the first two days of the test at Jerez, which gets underway on Tuesday 7 February, with teammate Lewis Hamilton taking over the car for the final two days.
Hamilton will drive on the first two days of the Barcelona test beginning Tuesday 21 February, before handing over to his teammate, while the pair will alternate at the final Barcelona test beginning Tuesday 1 March, when Button will be at the wheel.
The car is to be unveiled at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking on Wednesday 1 February.
