Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez have both been handed grid penalties after the opening practice session for this weekends Indian Grand Prix.
Quickest in the session, Hamilton was slapped with the penalty for setting his fastest lap while marshals were tending to Pastor Maldonado's stricken Williams, which had stopped at Turn 16 following an engine failure.
With marshals near the track the incident was covered by a double waved yellow flag, which stewards, including former race winner Johnny Herbert, deemed Hamilton had ignored.
Perez also fell foul of the regulation, the pair subsequently hit with a three-grid spot penalty for the incident.
