Even before the cars have taken to the track there are problems at the new state-of-the-art Buddh International Circuit.
On Tuesday night, Pitpass tweeted: "Hearing reports, albeit unsubstantiated, that the commentary boxes at the Buddh circuit don't have windows. D'oh!"
This has now been confirmed by BBC commentator Martin Brundle who tweets: "Our commentary cell in India. No window, nowhere near track. Apologies in advance we cannot do our job properly in here."
Meanwhile, despite the claims of Jaiprakash Gaur, founding chairman of the Jaypee Group, the organiser of the event, that the Grand Prix will obliterate "shameful" memories of last year's Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, there are other worrying signs that all may not go strictly to plan. Thus far there have been two power cuts, while Ian Parkes of the Press Association had to remove a bat from the media room.
With local farmers still threatening to disrupt Sunday's race, there is widespread concern that there will be more drama off track than on.
