Speaking at a promotional event in Bangalore, Lewis Hamilton has paid tribute to his McLaren teammate Jenson Button.
Less than 48 hours after another controversial race which saw him incur the wrath of the stewards yet again, while his teammate moved up to second place in the standings, Hamilton admitted that Button has been doing a fantastic job in his second season with the Woking team.
"Jenson's done an incredible job," he told reporters, "I feel he's done a better job all season, really. So even if I did a better job in the next five races it doesn't mean a lot to me. I mean, it's through a whole year.
"I think for me now it's just to find my ground and improve on the results that we've had in the last four races," he added.
Asked about the post race incident when Felipe Massa sarcastically congratulated him on his performance, Hamilton said: "I was able to just ignore it and move on", adding that he still has a lot of respect for the Brazilian.
