Despite the departure of Geoff Willis, Tonio Liuzzi remains confident for the future of HRT
Speaking to reporters in Singapore, the Italian admitted that he is sorry to see Willis leaves the team but remains confident that team boss Colin Kolles will help move the team forward.
"It's a shame that we lost Geoff because I was working well with him," said the Italian. "But the team principal has got a clear picture in his head and I am confident that it is the right plan.
"We still don't know much about how the future will be handled," he continued, "but I'm very confident that Mr Kolles is putting together a good package for the future. This is a circus where people come and go pretty quickly, it's the same for drivers and for engineers. I'm sure that the team is facing a brighter future."
Amidst claims that the team's two cars are far from equal and that Bruno Senna had no telemetry on his car from Monza last season, Liuzzi insists that new owners Thesan Capital will allow the Spanish outfit to make a significant improvement next year.
"The new owners have strong ideas about the future, so that makes me feel positive," he said. "Because it is always better to have owners that want to invest and push the team forward. The biggest step needs to be made next year and we will still do it, but with a different package."
Thing is, without a technical director - former BAR/BMW/Honda and Brawn man Jorg Zander has been linked with the team - who's going to be designing the 2012 car, or, as some paddock wag suggested: "Will it be the Dallara in another dress?"
