The FIA has confirmed the calendar for the 2012 Formula One World Championship.
The twenty date calendar, though significantly different from the original released by the World Motor sport council in June has only three changes when compared to the version proposed by Bernie Ecclestone, with Bahrain, India and Abu Dhabi being shifted around.
After just seven years Turkey is dropped from the calendar, the event, while popular with drivers and fans watching on TV, never actually putting bums on seats, certainly in the sort of numbers needed to justify the sanctioning fee.
