Lewis Hamilton and Mark Webber were called before the stewards this afternoon for using the DRS during the opening practice session.
With the session declared wet, the use of DRS is banned however, both drivers were observed using it, Hamilton whilst carrying out a brief aero-evaluation on slick tyres.
Both drivers, along with representatives from their teams, were called before the stewards who subsequently decided that no further action was required.
"The rules don't clearly state whether you can use DRS on slicks in wet conditions, which is what we did this morning," admitted Hamilton. "The stewards just wanted to understand so that they could tighten the wording of the regulations for the next race. I also suggested a couple of tweaks to make the regulations clearer and safer, so it was quite a useful visit."
