NEWS STORY
On the eve of the British Grand Prix weekend, our friends at Soft Pauer have announced the launch of the Official 2011 Live Timing App Basic Pass, thereby giving users on both Android and Apple a wealth of F1 data and information for free as well as complementary access to one live timing session.
The Basic Pass version of the Official 2011 F1 Live Timing App gives fans the opportunity to sample the huge wealth of information available on the Premium App, including team and driver news, race results and standings, official F1 news and full Championship results, all updated after each and every race.
At any time users can upgrade in-App to the full Premium Pass, which gives full access to all live timing sessions, with real time 3D track positions of all competitors brought instantaneously to the handheld as the season unfolds. The Premium Pass contains full replay and live pause facilities, so the fan will never miss the action.
As an added bonus users of the Basic Pass will be able to enjoy complete coverage of Practice 2 live on Friday of the 2011 British Grand Prix weekend.
"By giving fans access to much of the data available via our award winning premium App, we hope to allow both Apple and Android users the opportunity to experience just how much added value the 2011 Official Live Timing App gives", explains Alex Powell, COO of Soft Pauer. "We are really pleased to broaden the reach of the App by offering this free version and hope that F1 fans will enjoy preparing for an exciting British Grand Prix by following Practice 2 in vivid detail."
The free Basic Pass version of the App can be accessed via both iTunes and the Android Market. Stay tuned to @F1timingapp on twitter and facebook for further information.
