Fawaz Al Khalifa, the president of Bahrain's information affairs authority, claims that the FIA has given its approval for the Bahrain GP to go ahead this year.
Using the social networking site Twitter he initially wrote: "Mabrook, Bahrain will host f1.." In a follow up tweet just over an hour later he announced "FIA confirms Bahrain date on 30th of October..."
Currently there is no official word from the FIA however, October 30 is the date currently allotted to the inaugural Indian Grand Prix.
