Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost says that Australian youngster Daniel Ricciardo is almost certain to be in one of the Italian outfit's cars next season.
The Faenza based outfit, which previously showed little patience with drivers it considered to be underperforming, has appeared a little more forgiving in the last couple of seasons retaining Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari even though neither has really set the world alight.
However, looking ahead to next season, Tost admits that at least one of the current drivers will find themselves out of a job as the team that gave Sebastian Vettel his first win prepares to introduce another hot-shot.
"He should learn the team, all the race tracks, to work together with the engineers, get a little bit of knowledge about the press work, about the marketing and this should be the preparation for him to race for Toro Rosso in 2012," Tost told reporters in Istanbul yesterday.
However, when asked if there were plans to dump one of the current drivers, a la Scott Speed and Sebastien Bourdais, the Austrian said; "No, currently not."
