Only one driver was financially punished following today's qualifying session though several drivers found themselves on the receiving end of official warnings.
Lewis Hamilton got his warning from the stewards - who include former GP winner Johnny Herbert - for impeding Vitaly Petrov during today's session.
There were similar warnings for the Mercedes duo, Nico Rosberg impeding Sergio Perez and his teammate, Michael Schumacher, impeding Nick Heidfeld. Rosberg was also investigated after setting his fastest split time under a yellow but no further action was taken.
Finally, Kamui Kobayashi was hit with a 2600 euro fine for speeding in the pitlane, the Sauber driver clocked at 72.9 kph.
