Ferrari completed over four thousand miles in pre-season testing, while McLaren completed just over two thousand.
With pre-season testing at an end, and just under two weeks to go before the start of the season, it is interesting to note that Ferrari leads the way in terms of mileage completed.
The Italian outfit completed 4337.5 miles over the course of the 15 days, 528.9 miles more than the second busiest team Red Bull which completed 3808.6 miles.
Sauber completed 3662.7 miles, ahead of Mercedes (3590.2), Toro Rosso (3325.7), Lotus Renault GP (3123.6), Williams (3097), Force India (2563.2), Team Lotus (2311), Virgin (2306.7) and McLaren (2237.8).
Hispania completed 1211.3 miles but this was using its 2010 car. Indeed, at the first test in Valencia, McLaren, Force India and Virgin used their 2010 cars - the figures above are based on mileage using 2011 cars. If one includes mileage in old and new cars, Force India completed 3377.1 miles in total, McLaren 2932.2 miles and Virgin 2851.8 miles.
