At the end of one of the longest seasons in the history of Formula One, Frank Williams clearly hasn't had enough. The enigmatic team boss wants to see more races on the calendar, though he accepts that there would need to be a limit.
"Speaking personally I'd love to go to more races in a year," Williams told reporters in Abu Dhabi, "but all I do is sit around and talk to guys like you!"
The Formula One calendar has expanded in recent years with this season - as in 2005 - comprising 19 events spread over 10 months. With India set to make its debut in 2011 the season will consist of 20 races, though Williams believes there's still room for more.
"The more the merrier, though it's probably wrong to say that," he said. "In my own opinion maybe one, maybe two more max."
The Englishman concedes that there would need to be a limit on the maximum number of races, and that expanding the calendar may mean the teams would also need to grow. "At some point in time you'll have to increase the team numbers again to take the strain," he admits.
In concept however Sir Frank agrees with the current calendar growth. "Twenty-one, twenty-two is what I think. It's a private opinion, the other team principals may well disagree!"
