The Renault team has confirmed both Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov will enjoy the benefit of fresh engines for this weekends Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Having used only seven of their allocated eight permissible power plants the duo will use their final new powerplants in Sunday's race.
Engines have been a major talking point of the weekend with none of the title contenders afforded the luxury of a fresh engine, championship leader Fernando Alonso, in particular, believed to be using an engine with significant mileage on it.
Renault currently find themselves in fifth place in the constructors standings, 57 points behind Mercedes, Robert Kubica having scored the lion's share of the 145 points the team have amassed, Petrov contributing just 19 to the tally.
