The beleaguered Spanish team has been fined $5000 after releasing a car while it still had a tyre warmer in place.
While the team failed to mention the incident in the post-session report it subsequently came to light that during the morning session Sakon Yamamoto was released with a tyre warmer still fitted to one of his wheels. Two team members subsequently entered the pit exit to recover the device.
The stewards, having received a report from the race director, and having considered the matter, determined that the Spanish outfit had breached Articles 23.1(j), 30.7 and 30.9 of the 2010 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and hit consequently hit it with the $5000 fine.
In the afternoon session Yamamoto found his track time compromised after spinning and brushing the wall.
