Renault's Vitaly Petrov has been penalised after being adjudged as having impeded Timo Glock in today's qualifying session.
The incident happened at the very beginning of Q1 when Glock - who had been first out of the pits - had just begun his first flying lap of the afternoon. As he approached the first chicane, he was clearly impeded by the Russian who had just left the pits.
The stewards - who include two-time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi this weekend - having investigated the matter decided that Petrov had impeded Glock a breach of Article 31.7 of the 2010 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.
Consequently, the Russian, who qualified 15th, forfeits five grid positions.
