1992 world champion Nigel Mansell joins the race stewards at Silverstone this weekend for the British Grand Prix.
The new for 2010 initiative sees a former F1 driver join the stewards at each round of the championship, an attempt to give a drivers perspective to incidents and punishments. Previously this year, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Johnny Herbert, Derek Warwick and Damon Hill have been called in to service.
Mansell, who crashed out of the Le Mans 24 Hour race last month, was a winner here in 1987, 1991 and his title winning year. His battle with Williams teammate Nelson Piquet in 1987 widely regarded as one of iconic moments in F1 folklore.
