Timo Glock has been handed a 20s penalty following an incident in today's race when he was adjudged to have ignore blue warning flags.
In the latter stages of the race, when being lapped by the race leaders, the Virgin driver was involved in a battle with Bruno Senna. Despite the fact that blue flags were waved warning him to allow the front runners through, Glock was adjudged to have ignored them.
The Stewards subsequently met with the driver and a team representative, considered the evidence and decided that there was a breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 a) of the 2010 FIA International Sporting Code.
Normally the Stewards would have imposed a drive-through penalty but as this was being applied after the race 20 seconds are added to Glock's elapsed time.
